Insurance for nonprofits is vital for charitable organizations. Many organizations make the error of putting insurance low down on their priority list – unaware that being uninsured could result in significant problems.

There are various types of insurance for nonprofits which groups may benefit from including general and professional liability. Before purchasing insurance, it is important to be aware that claims usually fall into one of two categories: bodily injury and non-bodily injury. With that in mind, make sure that you get the right coverage.

Non profit policies could be easily and mistakenly confused with coverage for for-profit companies. A specialist would be able to help you differentiate which one is right for you. Laws change from state to state, so it’s imperative to know any legal requirements which apply to your group in addition to purchasing appropriate insurance. It could be helpful to talk with an experienced insurance agent to ensure about the most suitable coverage for your organization.

While helping others is an excellent thing to do, it is equally important to help your organization by taking some time to obtain an adequate insurance for nonprofits. Do not make the mistake of waiting until it is too late. Not having insurance could very well be the downfall of your organization.

******************************************

A word from Shane Claiborne and Jonathan Wilson-Hartgrove :

“After several years of working with scores of communities, liturgy
experts, artists, and musicians, we’re excited to announce that Common
Prayer: Liturgy for Ordinary Radicals will be out in time for Advent.
It’s more than a book… it’s a way of life. We’re excited to share it
with you.

We’re so excited, in fact, that we’ve been working with friends
across the country and around the globe to plan nearly 150 release
parties. (We hope you can find one near you.) We wish we could be at
every one of them (and, with a little technical assistance, we might be
able say hi). But more importantly, we want you to come and see the
beautiful art that’s been created for this project. We want you to have a
chance to pray these prayers with a gathering of friends. We want you
to sing these songs and take them home with you, knowing that you’re not
alone, but part of an incredible family of fellow travelers that stretches all the way back to Abraham and Sarah.”– Shane Claiborne and
Jonathan
